Self-Connections

An edge that comes back to the node it left has no route 'between two nodes' for an ordinary path algorithm to compute, so every one of them collapses onto the node itself. Blow notices and loops the edge clear instead - whatever path type it asked for, and wherever its two handles sit.

Drag from a handle back to another handle on the same node to make one.
